No, it is not necessary to have an account for placing your order online. You always have option to proceed with 'Guest Checkout' for booking your online order without registering account. For same day gift delivery items and next day delivery gifts you will receive order on the delivery date you specified while booking your order online, between 8am to 8pm PST. For midnight deliveries your gift order will be delivered on that specific time and date.
